Why are we so impatient?  We always try to be in control or want things to happen right at that moment.  People want circumstances to happen on their timeline.  It shouldn’t work that way.  God has his own timeline for us.  Do you ever notice that when you are anxiously waiting for something to happen, whether it is hearing about a promotion or new job or maybe you are looking for a new relationship to start or whatever it might be, that your mind is preoccupied with your thoughts and that particular event rarely comes at the moment you want it to happen.  That is a reminder that we are not in control of any circumstance and when we try to be, God allows us to make our own mistakes.

God’s timeline for all things is for our good.  We need to be patient and wait for God and trust in His timing.  This is called faith. “Trust in God with all your heart and do not lean on your own understanding.”  Proverbs 3:5-6.  Being patient is so important when we are waiting on the Lord to help us in our time of need such as in relationships, illnesses, financial problems or decisions and so on.  Always remember that our will is God’s will for us.  If we need help we must wait for the Lord and know that God has a reason for his timing and it means that our faith is being tested.

Sometimes God’s answer to our problems or circumstances is not what we had in mind and it is not of our own understanding.  Sometimes the path that we take is not the path God desires for us.  In these cases God will steer us back to his path, but it may take a few turns to get there and get us back on track.  Prayer and supplication.  Faith over understanding.

Have a Blessed day!
