God bestowed His Grace upon us. A gift of salvation that never has to be repaid. The most amazing and incredible gift that could ever be given throughout eternity.
In receiving this gift we sometimes still find it difficult to give to others. We tend to evaluate what the cost is in giving. Can we afford it, Sometimes we just give things away just to get rid of the clutter. Don’t get me wrong, any giving someone does, is good. But giving needs to be a real sacrifice, which is the true spirit of giving. An example might be giving something away that is cared about and used everyday or giving an amount of money that will cause you to change plans for a purchase or vacation.
Giving without regards to one’s self, whether it is all the cash in your pocket to a stranger in need or perhaps an item of clothing that you just purchased, to your sibling or friend without caring if the item will be returned. Giving to charity should not require any praise or acknowledgement for the gift. Those are examples of gracious giving.
“Give and it will be given to you. Good measure, pressed down, shaken together, running over, will be put into your lap. For with the measure you use it will be measured back to you” Luke 6:38 God always knows when giving is done in secret and you will be rewarded.
Have a Blessed day!
