People with social anxiety have internally enjoyed the pandemic.  This seems to be an odd statement.  The pandemic has allowed them to be socially alone because alone is now acceptable.  During the pandemic we are not allowed to gather in groups, not allowed to go to church, nor are we supposed to go in to the workplace.  In all cases, basically we are to avoid other people.  How perfect for those with social anxiety.  But, how awful at the same time.  It has become okay to avoid people, yet for people with social anxiety it is not okay.  They need to be with people to help them assimilate and get over their fears.

The funny thing about most people with social anxiety is that they are usually the ones that you want to be around.  They are among the kindest, most empathetic and with the most enjoyable personalities to be with.  How do they get over their fears and anxiety of being in a social setting especially during this epidemic?  Through Jesus.  They most know that Jesus loves us unconditionally.

Jesus is always with us. “He only is my rock and my salvation, my fortress, I shall not be shaken”.       Psalm 62:6   He does not compare you to others with what you do, your job, how much money you have, what you look like and so on.  He is your rock and your support.  You are never alone, even when there is no one else around.  Feel his presence when you are with a group of people.  The judgement of others becomes very small and insignificant when Jesus is with you.

Remember to please Jesus is to love and serve others.  So when you are with a group of people and you feel anxious, know that Jesus has given you all the tools to help you.  Maybe it is with a smile or a word of inspiration.  What ever it is, Jesus will show you.  When you show loving kindness to others it is very difficult for them to reject or judge you.  If they do, who loses, it is surely not yourself.  Remember Jesus is always with you for strength and the Holy Spirit is in you to help guide you in your words and actions.

Have a Blessed day!
