How do we know what God has planned for us? What is our path? Having the patience to wait for God’s will to unfold is very difficult. We want to take matters into our own hands and accomplish things in our own timeline. Do not let this world or your understanding within it dictate your path and cloud your acceptance of God’s will. Submit your will to God and let Him direct your path. This is a spiritual acceptance that directs our thoughts, words and actions to The fruit of the spirit in love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, and faithfulness.(Galatians 5:22). This is where patience and faith come together. Are they the same? Not really. The answer is, having faith, is to be patient. Faith that God will direct you.
Sometimes it is not the way you think you should go. Faith is a difficult concept because it involves following or waiting without seeing or understanding. Remember that as we truly believe that Jesus died on the cross to absolve us of our sins, we were also given a gift that the Holy Spirit is in us to help us through prayer, scripture and understanding, in leading us down the path God has willed for us. God wants what is best for you and he wants to be closer to you. That means spiritually closer and that does not mean he gives you whatever you want.
God loves you more than anything and he wants your love as well. His path for you may include trials, hardship and loss as well as blessings. In both the good and the bad be thankful because He loves you so much he wants to steer you down the path that will make you closer to him. He loves you so much that he gave up His only child, Jesus, for all your transgressions so you could eventually be with him for eternity. Everlasting life.
Have a Blessed day!
