In Romans 8, God spoke of the flesh, referring to our body and all the earthly things that affect us.  When you succumb to sin with regards to these earthly desires, you push yourselves away from God.  God saved us from the death of sin when He had Jesus die on the cross for our salvation.  Then He placed the Holy Spirit in us to help us live by the spirit of Christ.  How amazing that our sins and ourselves died when Jesus died on the cross.  As Jesus spirit rose to heaven, we rose with him in eternal life.  That was the gift of Grace that was given to us by God, because He loved us so much that He did not want to condemn us for our sins, but He wanted to provide us with eternal life.

Now as we have faith in Jesus, we must live by His spirit and not by the flesh.  If you are torn between the spirit and the earthly desires, you should read Romans 8 several times.  I think this chapter is very enlightening in how God, Jesus and the Holy Spirit are one God.  The chapter clearly states how we transform from sin and the flesh to sanctification and the spirit.

As I grow spiritually, the Bible becomes clearer.  By no means am I there yet, I continue to grow with God’s help.  Right now, spiritually I am like a child learning how to walk.  I am so excited to grow as a christian and to see what God has planned for me.

Have a Blessed day!
